PEI Ferry Schedule: Map PEI Road Trip and PEI Nova Scotia FerryWe wish we would've taken the time to map PEI road trip. It's hard to recollect these thing later. Last night we stayed in Pictou, having driven there from Baddeck. Because of the ferry PEI schedule, we rose early to catch the first PEI Nova Scotia ferry that we could catch. Fortunately there was plenty of room on the Prince Edwsard Island ferry, even though there seemed to be a Prince Edward Island bus tour already onboard the ferry. Below, you'll see photos related to our riding the ferry to Prince Edward Island. (Sarcastically: Yes, it looks a lot like the ferry from Prince Edward Island!)
![]() So instead of find a nice vacation package Prince Edward Island style, we decided to do it our way. We made our own routes on a map PEI road map that we think we got from the Canada visitor bureau. We made our own accommodation in PEI as we came across them. It was adventurous and fun. Below is a photo of a PEI light house. Although this one is on the southeast side of the island, it is another example of a Prince Edward Island light house.
![]() Of course, what would make an ideal ferry ride is Tim Horton's donuts and coffee. It got us all sugar'd and caffeined up to track down every location on our Prince Edward Island attraction list. What made it even more ideal is that Lynn saw two or three separate pods of dolphins as we ferried across. That was just a taste of PEI tourism Canada style. We looked forward to more. We hadn't expect to see dolphin ferry Island Prince Edward, from Nova Scotia.
![]() We knew this wasn't the only ferry in PEI, nor the only ferry from Nova Scotia to Prince Edward Island. There are other Prince Edward Island ferries. We knew about the ferry Island PEI Wood and the Northumberland PEI ferry. But the one we were on was the right slice of Canada for these visitors (us) to experience.
![]() After we landed at PEI, we departed the ferry to Prince Edward island, and we drove to the King's Castle Provincial Park, and passed several things we've seen before in the midwestern USA, including cheap farmhouse PEI style. Plus they were nothing like a cottage in Nova Pictou Scotia. |
