Peggy's Cove Nova Scotia

Peggy's Cove House Light Pictures

We actually stopped by Peggy's Cove NS yesterday(Thursday), but there were so many people there it was hard to tolerate being there. It was like trying to drive through a carnival, people walking in the street, no place to avoid them. That's why we decided to get up early Friday morning and go before any of the shops opened up. We figured if the restaurant wasn't open, there'd be no reason for any of the tour busses to be there that early. So, off to Peggy's Cove Nova Scotia we went around 6:30 am.

So last night we'd had dinner at Moore's Landing before returning last night to our oceanside King Neptune's Campground. We left there and came here early.

We hope you enjoy these Peggy's Cove Pictures.

We weren't the 1st person there, there was one other car, but the individual was off on the rock a hundred yards from the Peggys Cove light house. So he wasn't an obstacle for us to sightsee-around.

After taking all the photos I could stand we took to the rocks southeast of the lighthouse and found a spot where it was all ocean in front of us, a wall of rocks behind us, and no people, no parking lot. That's where we put the camera away and pulled out the Tim Horton's donuts we'd purchased the night before on our way back from Moore's Landing Restaurant.

More Peggys Cove Pictures.

This facility had a Canadian post office inside it and not a Bed Breakfast house light like we saw in PEI.

Some of these photos, in larger sizes, could be turned into house light wallpaper, or house light screensavers.

We still love looking at these house light pics.

By 8am the restaurant had opened at Peggy's Cove and people started showing up to sightsee. We got a couple postcards from the restaurant store and found out that the Peggys Cove lighthouse, which serves as a post office during the summer, would open at 9 or so. We decided to head back towards Halifax and get some photos of West Dover before returning to Peggys Cove so that the postcards would have the Peggy's Cove lighthouse postmark. The postmark is shaped like a lighthouse. Of course we also sent a postcard to ourselves that said "Glad you were here" (instead of Wish you were here).

It was the ultimate box house light mail from a house international light.

It started getting crowded with tourists, so we left and got a few snapshots of West Dover and Yankee Harbour.
