We travelled Nova Scotia that way, and now it's time for cheap Edward Island Prince vacation. We will probably camp, but would consider a reasonable cottage PEI rental.
As soon as we get off the Caribou ferry from Nova Scotia, our mission is simple: get to King's Castle Provincial Park.
It's retro, it's cheesy, but it was fun. Since it's out in the middle of nowhere, it helped make it peaceful.
There were no kids there but us, until about 5 minutes before we were going to leave.
Here are photos of the park PEI provincial.

Our next goal would be to reach Charlottetown, the capitol of PEI.
(By the way, the Caribou ferry landed and King's Castle Park is located on the eastern part of PEI.)
